Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the council approved a $500,000 allocation to redevelop the public open space in 2015-16 as part of its 10-year capital works program.

‘When complete, the Yanchep community will have access to some wonderful family friendly amenities in naturally beautiful surrounds,’ Mrs Roberts said.

The City had also allocated $230,000 in 2017-18 to design the restored homestead, and $2 million to build it over the following two years.

Mrs Roberts said the City would consult with local community groups about the design options, including the Two Rocks Yanchep Arts and Culture Network.
