ABOUT 700 people attended the annual Butler Bonanza at Kingsbridge Reserve on January 20.

The free youth event hosted by the City of Wanneroo saw youngsters take part in a range of sport and recreational activities, including The Game Vault, cultural and hip hop dance performances, football, soccer and basketball.

Freestyle Now ran a skate, scooter and BMX competition with 70 competitors and winners included Karee Furneyuall in the girls’ scooter category, Jiordan Giacoppo in open scooter, Tyla D’Arcy in open skateboard and Luke Tooze in open BMX.

There was also a bouncy castle, sumo suits, free barbecue and modelling stage performance.

Beginner skateboard: 1st Zach Brown, 2nd Izak Kealy.

Intermediate skateboard: 1st Stephen Watkins, 2nd Benjamin Metcalf, 3rd Charlie Stanbrook.

Open skateboard: 1st Tyla D’Arcy, 2nd Ryley Dunbar, 3rd Mat Kealy.

Intermediate BMX: 1st Christian Silvestro, 2nd Sean Thill, 3rd Adam Smedley.

Open BMX: 1st Luke Tooze, 2nd Jack Carwardine.
