Imagine suburb’s future

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Katy Raftery from the Department of Health’s public health and ambulatory care section said the November 19 event, Imagine Merriwa, would bring together community groups, local residents and agencies to imagine the future and build on the strengths of the community and surrounding suburbs.

‘Merriwa community has shown great interest in being part of the solution to identified issues such as the lack of services in this area and the need to create an even more connected and vibrant Merriwa,’ she said.

‘At this open space, community members will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas and engage in conversation with others who share the same enthusiasm about creating a safer, healthier and happier Merriwa.’

It will be a self-organising forum where participants can create their agendas and prompt action plans based on community participation.
