THERE will be a public information session on the second stage of the Brazier Road realignment project in Yanchep next week.

City of Wanneroo staff will be at the Yanchep Community Centre from 7pm on Wednesday, March 5 to outline plans for the second stage of the road from the kiosk north.

‘The proposed Stage 2 works include a single-lane carriageway with a centre median and parallel parking, new roundabout at Brazier Road, a temporary access to the existing car park, dual-use pathway on the western alignment,’ the City’s website said.

At last month’s Two Rocks Yanchep Residents Association meeting, president Peter Wimsett said people had mixed views on the works, part of the Yanchep Lagoon redevelopment.

‘People say they love it, people say they hate it,’ he said.

Mr Wimsett said it was not clear whether the two parts of Brazier Road would join up and TRYRA would ask the City to speak to residents again about the plans.

The first stage of work finished late last year, creating a temporary cul-de-sac on Brazier Road with parking overlooking the lagoon.
