Initiative leads way in reducing Two Rocks Primary School waste

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

Dubbed ‘Zero Waste Lunch Day’, the initiative called on students to bring lunches that included items that could be eaten, reused, recycled or composted.

It asked them to have as little as possible in lunch boxes that would have to be thrown away.

“By bringing less waste into schools we can minimise litter, create less waste and develop healthy eating habits,” the school newsletter said.
