Japanese-inspired art to go on display

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

Art teacher Amy Chalkley has been teaching students various techniques, including gyotaku, or fish-printing.

Ms Chalkley said the students used frozen fish to create their own pictures, based on the method used by 19th Century fishermen to record the size and species of their catches.

The Japanese art exhibition will be on display in the school's undercover area during school hours until Friday, June 26.
