Joining surf life saving club a swell idea

Vice-president Des Choake said this Saturday, September 6, was registration day for those interested in its lifesaving, sports and nippers programs.

‘Members will be on hand to answer questions about club activities, sport and fitness programs, junior activities, education and, of course, how to become a fully fledged lifesaver,’ he said.

‘The club also has a team participating in this year’s Relay For Life and will hold a sausage sizzle for fundraising.’

He said the club relied on sponsorship and donations, and for more information email quinnsmindarie@bigpond.com. The registration day is 10am to 2pm at the club on Quinns Road.
