Joondalup Detectives charge two men after man stabbed with knife in Butler

JOONDALUP Detectives have charged two men in relation to an alleged stabbing incident near a Butler tavern last week.

WA Police allege that about 11.45pm on April 19, two men were in a physical altercation with another two men outside a tavern near the intersection of Kingsbridge Boulevard and Wadhurst Road.

“During the altercation one man was struck with a knife, resulting in a puncture wound to his abdomen,” a police spokeswoman said.

“He was conveyed to Joondalup Health Campus where he received emergency surgery.

“Another man was admitted to the hospital with facial injuries after it is alleged that he was assaulted by the two men.”

A Clarkson man (25) has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to re-appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on July 2.

A Hocking man (24) charged with an act intending to cause bodily harm is due to appear at Perth Magistrates Court today.
