Langford man (19) charged over February assault on teen at Kingsbridge Park

POLICE last week charged a man over the February robbery of a teenager in Butler.

The 19-year-old Langford man is accused of being the main perpetrator in a group of six males who attacked a 16-year-old Jindalee boy at Kingsbridge Park just before midnight on February 11.

Officers allege the man accosted the victim as he walked with two other people.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said the youth got away, but the alleged offender returned with about 12 people, six of whom allegedly attacked him.

“He was kneed in the chest and grabbed by the neck,” he said.

“The victim fell over a wall and lost consciousness.”

Investigators charged the accused, who allegedly stole the victim’s wallet and phone, with aggravated robbery on May 15.

He is scheduled to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on June 9.
