The pedestrian access from the southern portion of the road will reopen on September 6 while construction continues on the northern realignment project.
Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said pedestrians would have access to the beach via a fenced off section of the future dual-use pathway and the completed stair access that forms part of the limestone wall opposite the Yanchep kiosk. Brazier Road at Yanchep Beach Road will remain closed until the completion of road works.
‘Beach and kiosk visitors need to keep using the existing car park facilities on the new section of Brazier Road to the south of the kiosk,’ Mrs Roberts said.
She said work was scheduled for completion in December and a temporary public car park would be available at that time.
