The Brighton Outdoor Movie Night will coincide with global movement to target climate change Earth Hour on March 29.
The free event will include children’s activities at Brampton Park before Rio flies on to the screen at 7pm.
Following the movie, Environment Minister Albert Jacobs and Wanneroo Deputy Mayor Dot Newton will switch off the lights for one hour from 8.30pm.
Lights out entertainment will include fire throwing, a DJ light show and an acoustic performance.
Event hosts include Satterley Property Group, Rotary Club of Mindarie, ECU Enactus, City Of Wanneroo and Ocean Keys shopping centre.
