Nicolette Mullan is planning her third egg fundraiser this Saturday, March 23, where friends will get together to donate chocolate Easter treats to UnitingCare West.

The organisation’s chief executive, Sue Ash, said those donations would go to children at their Merriwa service centre, as well as other children across Perth.

Some will be used in an Easter egg hunt for children of young mothers who are completing their secondary education in Victoria Park on March 26.

‘We always do an egg hunt for the kids, which they really enjoy,’ Ms Ash said.

‘Easter represents new beginnings and inspires hope, we are very thankful to the community for supporting others who are not as fortunate at this special time.’

Mrs Mullan started the collection drive in 2011, when about 600 chocolates were donated, and last year the group raised more than 1000 treats.
