THE Local Table series of events, starting this Friday, will showcase food and relaxing vibes at The Gateway Shopping Precinct in Alkimos.

Empire Events and Markets’ Dorothy Dean said the family-friendly event would provide the community a place where they could eat, relax and “soak up good vibes”.

“We’ll have an array of cuisines to choose from with some of Perth’s best food trucks delivering some delicious eats that will make you glad you didn’t stay home to cook,” Mrs Dean said.

“We’ll also have a place where you can sit, chill out and enjoy the live tunes from accomplished Perth musician Matt Cal.

“Kids will also be catered for with some lawn games.”

Empire Events and Markets was born from an increasing demand from the community to deliver more events through the northern coastal corridor.

Mrs Dean said as land releases continued to drive the population explosion, there was an ongoing demand for a variety of entertainment closer to home.

“Empire Events and Markets has planned a number of family-friendly events in the north coastal corridor that were aimed at injecting much-needed life into the area,” she said.

“We want our events to appeal to the family-friendly communities being established on the north coast.”

The Local Table will be held from 6pm to 9pm on December 8, February 9, March 9 and April 6.
