Police stopped the pursuit because the man was allegedly speed- ing and driving dangerously.

Sgt Saunders said detectives tracked him to a house in Sanderstead Loop in Butler.

Police say a motor vehicle, allegedly stolen during a burglary on May 26 in Hillarys, was found at the house.

Police also allegedly found a significant quantity of methylamphetamine, cash, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia at the property.

The detective said they charged the man with stealing a motor vehicle, possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, possession of drug paraphernalia, five breaches of a violence restraining order, reckless driving and not having a valid driver’s licence.

Sgt Saunders said they also charged the man with failing to stop for police in circumstances of aggravation, which were to escape pursuit by police, which carried a mandatory imprisonment condition.

Police remanded the man in custody. He appeared on May 28 in Joondalup Magistrates Court, where the magistrate also remanded him in custody, and he is due to reappear in court tomorrow.
