Man swept overboard rescued by police

He was with another man in an inflatable raft when they got caught in the washout and forced overboard.

The police helicopter spotted him two hours later and a boat from Two Rocks Volunteer Sea Rescue Group picked him up.

He was treated for hypothermia and taken to Joondalup Health Campus. His companion washed up safely in the raft 500m north of the river mouth.

Both men were wearing lifejackets.
