A MARMION Avenue roundabout will be closed for upgrades over three nights next week.

The City of Wanneroo will upgrade and resurface the Marmion Avenue-Hester Avenue-Anchorage Drive roundabout from 9pm-5am from April 30 to May 3.

The work is part of the City’s 2017-18 capital works program and roads approaching the roundabout will be closed.

“Works will be carried out at night to reduce traffic impact on this roundabout and is scheduled to commence on Monday night, April 30 and is anticipated to be completed on early morning Thursday, May 3 (weather permitting),” a City statement said.

“For safety reasons the roundabout will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic during the night from 9pm and will be opened the following morning at 5am.

“Relevant traffic management will be in place to direct motorists and pedestrians during these times.”

Following the asphalt resurfacing, there will be temporary line marking until Main Roads reinstalls permanent line marking.
