Mrs King said they met when she was 15 and working in the fitting rooms at Kmart, and had been together ever since, including 18 months long distance while he trained in the RAAF.

“After two beautiful children, Liara and Archer, Braden proposed in the new year of 2015,” she said.

“We married and celebrated at Yanchep National Park on February 6; slow danced to Dance with you by Live, which was the first song we ever danced to.”

Mrs King said they were “stoked” to make it to their wedding day, as plans were uncertain when her fiance was diagnosed with an aggressive form of testicular cancer five months before the wedding.

“He is going well; the tumour removal was in September,” she said.

“At the time of the diagnosis, we weren’t sure if he was going to need chemo.

“We found out just before Christmas that we could follow through.”

Their honeymoon plan is to go up the Coral Coast of Western Australia to Exmouth to swim with whale sharks and see WA’s beautiful coastal spots.

Beldon photographer Amy Skinner captured their celebrations at Yanchep National Park and Yanchep Lagoon.
