LEARNING continued after school and outside classrooms when Merriwa Primary School held its annual Learning Journey event last week.

Teacher Siobhan Morgan said the school and education support centre, which both recently gained approval for independent public school status, held the event on September 21.

“Students and their families enjoyed visiting classrooms, community stalls and local businesses,” she said.

“Students proudly showcased their inspiring learning environment and efforts of three terms of hard work.

“The school choir, instrumentalists and past students the Subih Brothers provided entertainment for the evening.

“A range of local community groups, services and secondary schools offered information and access to resources to support our school community.”

Mrs Morgan said Bunnings in Clarkson donated plants and ran free workshops, while Clarkson Police and Butler Fire & Emergency Rescue gave demonstrations and information sessions.
