Mindarie Marina brewing up for Boardwalk Beer Fest

VENUES at Mindarie Marina are brewing up beverages for the first festival of the upcoming spring-summer season.

The annual Boardwalk Beer Fest will be on Saturday, October 14 with more than 20 breweries offering tastings plus street food stalls and live cooking stations.

“While it is organised by ourselves, The Marina Mindarie, we have invited breweries from all over WA,” festival co-ordinator Kara Wood said.

“It’s all about giving a platform where each brewery can show off their best brews.

“It will be bigger and better this year with more than 20 breweries and cideries involved

“We hope to attract up to 8000 people to the marina throughout the day.”

There will be two bands performing – Dr Bogus at The Boat, and Kings and Queens at the Indi.

Mountain Goat Beer will host a pool party in the Cabana bar and barbecue featuring DJs Darren Bouthier and Dan Oxenbury.

Subaru Wangara will have a car display and there will be street performers and entertainers including the Bellydancing Bombshells and a stilt walker.

The festival will run from 1-6pm, with a free children’s zone open from 1-5pm.
