Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

MODIFIED plans for a five-storey apartment block in Mindarie will be considered by the North West Metropolitan Development Assessment Panel (DAP).

The panel deferred making a decision on changes to approved plans for the $15 million, 50-unit development on Alexandria View in February, giving the City of Wanneroo administration and applicant six weeks to negotiate changes.

Debate at the February 27 meeting centred on vehicle access in laneways and rubbish collection from apartments.

The agenda for the DAP meeting on April 10, which will be at the City of Wanneroo starting 2pm, outlines amendments to the original plans.

It said the main modifications included relocating the bin storage area to abut Medway Lane and changes to the pin pick-up location.

Other changes include moving the the access on Stockton Lane away from the existing adjoining home, and modifying landscaping and fencing to improve visual permeability.

Plans also propose providing an extra 16 parking bays that would be accessed off Medway Lane, more detail on landscaping and changes to setback distances.
