Mindarie Primary School receives Bankwest grant for water tank

MINDARIE Primary School has installed a big water tank near its sandpit, partly funded with a bank grant.

Teacher Nicole Sainsbury says the school had been having trouble raising the funds themselves and a cash boost came just at the right time.

“We’d already held a ninja warrior obstacle course at the beginning of the year with Kindy and Pre-Primary children to raise money for this water tank but unfortunately we weren’t able to raise quite enough,” she said.

“But now with the extra $1000 from Bankwest it’s all systems go.

“The children will now be able to collect their own water in pots and buckets to use in their outdoor play.

“This’ll allow them to appreciate the value of water as a precious resource.”
