Mindarie Regional Council to host Tamala Park facility open day

MINDARIE Regional Council will hold an open day at its Tamala Park facility on May 14.

The waste management council is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and will use the free event to teach people how to reduce, reuse, recycle and dispose wisely.

The day’s activities will include tours, entertainment, face painting, games, displays, junk art, talks, workshops and a free sausage sizzle.

The Tamala Park waste disposal facility includes the landfill site that services member councils, including the cities of Wanneroo, Joondalup, Stirling, Vincent and Perth, plus the towns of Cambridge and Victoria Park.

The open day will run from 10am-3pm on May 14 at 1700 Marmion Avenue, Tamala Park.
