Mindarie Senior College sustainability expo turns to nature and the environment

THOUGHTS turned to nature and the environment at Mindarie Senior College’s recent sustainability expo.

About 85 Year 11 and 12 students took part in the annual event, organised by sustainability coordinators Elise Gaglio and Tracy Smith.

The event aimed to increase students’ knowledge, skills and passion on the importance of sustainability and showcase organisations involved in sustainability.

It was also an opportunity to showcase students’ work and achievements in sustainability.

Exhibitors at the August 10 event included Nearer to Nature, Earth Carers, Water Corporation, West Oz Wildlife, Native Animal Rescue, Animal Ark, Tangaroa Blue, Keep Australia Beautiful and Conservation Volunteers.

The United Nations Association of Australia, One World Centre, CSIRO, AuSSI WA and Bunnings were also present.
