JONO Geldart (17) turned his focus to photography and videography to replace sport after getting multiple stress fractures in his back.

The Mindarie teenager said he found a passion for capturing pictures and video after the back injuries prevented him from playing sport, including soccer.

“I used to play goalkeeper and also surfed,” The Year 12 Quinns Baptist College student said.

He launched a business, UpSkyHigh, in early 2017 and recently visited Yanchep Lagoon, used his DJI Phantom 4 advanced drone to capture an aerial perspective of the area.

“I enjoy taking photos of the lagoon with a drone ‘cause I get to see it from a completely different perspective,” he said.

“The more I take the drone over WA, the more I realise how much of an amazing place we live in.

“I love taking photos of surfing, sunsets and also landscape and waves.”
