Described by sales agent Sell Lease Property as ‘waterfront opulence,’ the four-storey, 1063sqm house on Alexandria View looks over boat pens and the marina hotel, bars and restaurants.

Property consultant Matt Nylander said the newly-built property, listed at $5.5 million, sold 10 days after he listed it on the open market.

Designed by Parm Tjhung architects and built by Pirone Builders, the house’s sale set a new suburb record, exceeding the previous $4 million mark for a house.

Marina managing director Martin Smith said the marina had grown from a day-trippers’ destination over the years to a suburban entertainment hub.
