Neerabup bushfire contained but crews still on site

FIRE crews are on site at a fire in Neerabup this afternoon.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said a helitac and fixed wing plane provided air support for the fire reported about 1.25pm near the Flynn Drive and Wanneroo Road intersection.

She said attended crews, including Butler Fire and Rescue plus Wanneroo Central, Quinns Rocks and Two Rocks volunteer bush fire brigades, were still on site.

The fire has burnt through about 6ha of medium density bushland and was contained by 2.29pm with crews creating containment lines.

The cause is unknown.
