Neerabup: freeway extension works may cause traffic delays

TRAFFIC may be stopped for short periods in Neerabup this month as part of freeway extension works.

Works will take place on intermittent nights from 7pm to 5am on Wanneroo Road between Flynn Drive and Hester Avenue, and stoppages may affect drivers on these roads until April 1.

In Connolly, the speed limit is reduced to 80km/h on the freeway northbound adjacent to Fairway Circle from 7am to 7pm until mid-year.

Construction of extended and extra turning lanes is continuing at the Joondalup Drive and Wanneroo Road intersection, causing lane closures and reduced speed limit of 40km/h on some nights until the end of March.

Drivers will face the same traffic changes along Burns Beach Road between the freeway exit and entrance, and at the freeway on and off ramps, until April 1.
