Festival and events manager Kara Wood said the 15-minute fireworks display would start about 8.30pm, after the sun set.

“The Marina has engaged a traffic management company to assist with entry and exit from the carpark in order to elevate some of the congestion on arrival and departure,” she said.

However, organisers encouraged people to arrive earlier and depart later to help the traffic flow, or to use public transport, car pool or walk as parking was limited.

“This year The Marina will have more portable bathroom facilities and takeaway food options available,” Mrs Wood said.

“Security will be strictly monitoring licensed areas and therefore no BYO food or drink or loose furniture is allowed.

“The boardwalk will be for standing only due to limited space – no picnics blankets, chairs, etc will be allowed.

“Both The Indian Ocean Brewery and The Boat will have free entry and entertainment

“The Cabana Pool Bar and BBQ and Pavilion will host a ticketed event with DJs spinning tunes.”

Mrs Wood said they would work with Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group, Clarkson Police and the City of Wanneroo to ensure it was “a safe, friendly event”.
