TWO northern suburbs residents have been involved in planning events for local charities.

Ridgewood’s Daniel Smith worked with fellow Curtin University students to create a fundraising and awareness music event for Organ Donation and Transplant Foundation of WA.

The not-for-profit organisation advocates for organ and tissue donation and the project was to conduct a fundraising and awareness event.

The event raised $4400 and their online engagement reached more than 8000 people.

Marmion resident Madeleine Bartlett worked with fellow students to develop a fundraising and recruitment project for Manna.

The charity provides meals to the homeless community in Perth and the project was to promote Manna’s Homeless for a Night event and increase registrations.

Both students graduated from the university’s John Curtin Leadership Academy on June 3.
