NORTHSHORE Christian Grammar School reached the 100 student mark this term, the start of its second school year.

The 2018 school year also marks the start of the Alkimos school’s inaugural Year 7 class.

“Welcoming our 100th student and the opening of Year 7 are both exciting milestones for our school,” principal Stuart Chisholm said.

“We’re particularly proud of the strong sense of community that’s been built, despite growing quickly since we opened last year.

“Over 30 students have joined us this week, and our Kindergarten class for 2019 is already filled, with waitlisting now commenced for a second class.”

On January 31, the school introduced seven staff members to cater for the extra students and year groups.

Angel Hanna and Derek Speldewinge have joined as specialist Year 7 teachers, along with Suret Beicher who has joined as a primary teacher.

The school also welcomed Caitlin Mendes da Costa, Tracy Brodie and LeeAnn Gebhard as education assistants, and Nicole Meiring to the administration team.

Located in Shorehaven at Alkimos, Northshore currently offers education from Kindergarten to Year 7 and will grow year on year to extend to Year 12.
