Mrs Sangalli said the week-long Outback journey was on her bucket list, and would be their first adventure without their three children in 12 years.

‘All of them have been blessed and very healthy (but) they all have had friends that have had to go through the cancer battle,’ she said.

Mrs Sangalli said they had already exceeded their fundraising target of $5000, with many local residents and businesses donating about $6500 by Tuesday.
