Clarkson Detectives are investigating incidents that occurred between 1pm and 1.30pm on Friday, July 18, at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre.

‘One of the males first attempted to steal a handbag from a shopping trolley while two women were finishing their lunch in the food court,’ Sergeant Graham Teather said.

‘The ladies became aware of the male’s presence and he quickly made an excuse for his actions before moving away.’

‘Unable to grab the purse with his first attempt the male then reaches in again, this time pushing the child to the side slightly so he can get the purse and quickly places it in his pocket.
