Developers recently opened the first park in Atlantis Beach estate, saying the shaded picnic areas have views to the ocean.

Completed before the first homes, project manager Jarrod Rendell said Blaxland Park had been welcomed by residents and visitors.

“We have had a very positive response from future residents who have been regularly visiting the estate with their families to watch the construction of their new homes,” he said.

“This first park at Atlantis Beach is the first significant piece of community infrastructure for this master planned residential development which will see more than 6000 new homes and a wide range of community features being constructed in this community over the next 15 to 20 years.

“Overall, 2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year of new infrastructure firsts for the estate which will include the construction of the first school in the estate with the opening of Atlantis Beach Baptist College.”

The school is due to open in July.
