Park takes fun step back in time

Lucy Jarvis, North Coast TimesNorth Coast Times

The City of Wanneroo’s first free event in the park attracted people from across Perth and across the age groups, who were entertained by live music, arcade games and a vintage car display.

Musicians performed hits at the March 8 event, with Shotdown from Sugardown playing rockabilly blues and the Cottontail Trio and the Supper Club playing swing and jazz.

The audience got swing dance lessons and soul band Stratosfunk closed the afternoon with their Motown hits.

Several members of the Goodfellas Hot Rod Club parked their cars on the lawn for the afternoon, including Ken Hicks from Noranda.
