RANGERS and police will target anti-social behaviour at Dewars (Durrs) Track in Two Rocks over the upcoming long weekend.

City of Wanneroo community and place director Fiona Hodges said they would increase patrols over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend from September 26 to 28.

“The City and WA Police will be targeting unregistered vehicles, anti-social behaviour and illegal activity such as drink-driving on, and at the entrance to, Dewars Track during a joint operation,” she said.

Mrs Hodges said only off-road vehicles were allowed on the track and anyone who left the easement area was trespassing on private property and could be prosecuted by police.

“The track easement is clearly defined on the signs at the entrance to the track and by fencing along the track boundaries,” she said.

“Users are only permitted to cross the easement area when accessing Dewars Beach on foot from the carpark at the end of the track.”
