STUDENTS at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School are preparing for their annual art exhibition this month.

The Mindarie school’s 2017 exhibition ‘A Slice of Talent’ features works by students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.

Head of visual arts Jacky Harrison said students embraced the ‘food’ theme.

“Some art projects involved looking at and recreating food products and packaging using traditional art materials and techniques,” she said.

“Many others resulted in students exploring the different ways that food can be used as a metaphor in artwork or as a way to communicate ideas about social and global issues.”

Opening night is on November 10 from 5.30pm-7pm, and the exhibition can also be viewed from 2.45-3.30pm on November 13-17.
