Petitions call for playground toilets and fence removal

PETITIONS tabled at this month’s Wanneroo Council meeting called for playground toilets and barbed wire fence removal.

Councillor Russell Driver presented a 50-signature petition on behalf of residents asking for toilets at the Catalina Beach Park in Mindarie.

Cr Nat Sangalli presented an 81-signature petition on behalf of Yanchep residents asking Sun City Golf Club to give Yanchep Golf Estate developer Peet permission to remove barbed wire on the fence from 8 to 24 Bunker Crescent.

The club installed the fence in 2016 and the council decided to ask it to remove the fence in June 2017.

The golf course fence in Yanchep was installed in 2016.

The council agenda also said a report relating to a 27-signature petition for transition of a seniors exercise class at the Hainsworth Community Centre in Girrawheen would presented at the April council meeting.
