Plenty of room to play at new site

Heath Development Company project director Brian Newman said the 3950sqm park in Jindalee Beachside Estate gave residents another public open space, with the foreshore already popular for weddings.

‘The heavily utilised Jindalee beach access and boardwalk area will be given a boost with the construction work that is underway on the northern aspect of the kiosk,’ Mr Newman said.

‘This much needed second beach access point via a new staircase will be finished by Easter.’

Butler resident May Brendish said she and her neighbour Donelle Willshire walked to the foreshore and cafe regularly with their three-year-olds Lilith and Kobe.

Mr Newman said RJ Vincent Civil Contracting had started building stage 14 of the estate, with a pre-release of the 26 lots due in about a fortnight.

He said they had already sold more than 80 per cent of the 940-lot development.
