When she looked outside she saw a police car and the overturned vehicle.

“Within three minutes there was an ambulance and more police on the scene,” Ms Buys said.

“I stood outside for over an hour.

“This morning I saw they’d taken out the street light and hit into a tree.

“They’ve covered the road with sand.”

Police said no charges had been laid at this stage.
