The Edmund Rice Centre Mirrabooka organised the January 14 event at the Butler Community Centre to encourage better relationships between police and youngsters of varying cultural backgrounds.

Youth sports co-ordinator Lisbeth Comissao said about 60 people came to the afternoon match, with parents accompanying their children.

“We will hold that event again – we are planning to do that when the weather becomes a bit cooler because it was really hot on that day,” she said.
