Police on hunt for third man involved in Butler altercation

JOONDALUP detectives are appealing for more information in their investigation into an altercation in Butler last month.

According to WA Police, a man from a crowd of onlookers at the April 19 incident on Kingsbridge Boulevard approached another man in his 40s and punched him to the head several times.

“The victim was concussed and a received a fractured cheek bone,” Acting Sergeant Mick Slaughter said.

“The man casually walked away, crossing Kingsbridge Boulevard.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man was described as being light skinned, about 180cm tall with red or ginger hair and beard and a solid build.

Detectives have already charged two men following the incident about 11.45pm when another man was stabbed in the stomach and taken to hospital for emergency surgery.

A Clarkson man (25) charged with causing grievous bodily harm will reappear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on July 2.

A Hocking man (24) was charged with an act intending to cause bodily harm.
