Police step up patrols at northern beaches

Lucy JarvisNorth Coast Times

NORTHERN suburbs police officers have stepped up patrols around popular beaches to deter thefts from vehicles and beachfronts.

Clarkson Senior Sergeant Stephen Foley said the patrols were part of a North West Metropolitan District strategy with officers giving beaches and carparks extra attention, particularly on hot days.

“We’ve got a beach strategy in place from Scarborough right through to Yanchep,” he said.
