Police tickled pink over Purple result

Senior Sergeant Gary Saunders said they had been investigating numerous assault and other offences within the sub-district.

‘These are offences that occurred in Butler, Quinns Rocks, Girrawheen and Beechboro ” there are three offences in Girrawheen, six in Butler, six in Quinns Rocks and one in Beechboro,’ Sgt Saunders said.

‘We arrested and charged a 21-year-old male of no fixed abode with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm, attempted burglary with intent, stealing, stealing a vehicle (and) being armed.’

Sgt Saunders said police also charged him with three counts of unauthorised driving, two assaults with intent to prevent arrest, two counts of failing to stop when called upon by police under circumstances of aggravation and two counts of reckless driving.
