Chaplain Amy Okulicz said the Theatrical Response Group visited the school on June 4 for a workshop presented to Year 8 students.

“The Theatrical Response Group is a theatre-in-education initiative of the Constable Care Child Safety foundations,” she said.

“The program teaches resilience and encourages young people to have a voice about issues that concern them.

“This workshop was very engaging and relevant to our school community and was thoroughly enjoyed by the Year 8 students.

“The students interacted really well with the actors and some students even got involved in assisting the actors on stage and re-directing the scenarios to create a better outcome for all those involved.”

Year 8 student Tyler James said it was inspiring, and his classmates also enjoyed the workshop.

“Everyone paid attention and it all made sense, and they gave us ways to solve problems,” student Yashoda Bhatia said.

“I really liked it – it sent out a good message,” student Georgie Fennell said.
