The Iwi n Aus group took to the corner of Victoria Avenue and Terrace Road, to make people aware of the sub-class 444 visa.
The visa allows people to work and stay in Australia while remaining a New Zealand citizen, but it does not afford the same rights as Australian residents.
‘We want to show Australians that there is a real plight for people from New Zealand to have access to social security,’ group member Anne Wallace said.
