Public comment open on 5-storey Alkimos foreshore apartment development

PLANS for a five-storey apartment block overlooking the Alkimos foreshore are out for public comment until July 10.

The City of Wanneroo has invited submissions on the proposed development at 40 Portside Promenade, which will include 52 dwellings ranging in size from 52.3sq m to 124.9 sq m.

According to the plans by SOOS Design and Architecture, it would be built in two stages with 23 apartments, 41 carparking bays and racks for 21 bicycles in the first stage.

The second stage would have 29 apartments, 52 carparking bays and racks for another 21 bicycles.

Most of the apartments would have two-bedroom, two-bathroom configurations, with some three-bedroom units featuring either two or three bathrooms, and one single-bedroom, one-bathroom unit.

The plans also feature a terrace garden on the second floor.

Following public consultation, the City’s administration will prepare a report for the North West Metropolitan Development Assessment Panel to consider.
