THE City of Wanneroo has invited public submissions on a proposal to use an Alkimos house as a holiday rental property.

The proposal to change the residential use for 28 Whipbird Road is out for public comment until April 10.

According to the property’ management plan, the maximum number of guests allowed at any one time would be six and the owners would have to keep a guest register.

Guests would also have to comply with a code of conduct.

The City held a public comment period on a local law to regulate holiday home accommodation earlier this year.

The law will regulate properties rented out to six or fewer guests, requiring owners of those properties to register with the City.
