QUINNS Rocks Junior Cricket Club will step up to the crease, raising money for the McGrath Foundation to help place breast care nurses in communities across Australia at a high tea next weekend.

“After the success of last year’s high tea, we are running the event again,” organiser Kat Salisbury said.

“Myself and Sharon Kidd had a great time organising and hosting last years event; we are looking forward to doing it all again.

“Pink Stumps Day provides an opportunity for our local community to participate in the spirit, energy and international phenomenon of the Pink Test.

“By bringing the magic home it raises vital funds to make life for families experiencing breast cancer just that little bit easier.”

Club president Daniel Shortill said the club was pleased to support the McGrath Foundation through the Pink Stumps High Tea on February 19.

“This event is getting bigger each year due to the hard work of members of the club especially Kat and Sharon,” he said.

The February 19 fundraiser will start about 2pm at Quinns Rocks Sports Club on Tapping Way.

Tickets cost $50 per person and attendees are encouraged to wear pink, and donate through a silent auction, raffle and other activities planned for the day.
