Quinns Rocks Bowling Club rolling towards new season

THE greens will open for the upcoming season at Quinns Rocks Bowling Club this Saturday as the club builds up its membership.

City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts will be rolling the first bowl down as part of the opening ceremony from 1pm on September 23.

Publicity officer Shane Smith said there would be a social game after the opening for those wanting to join in a game, followed by a sausage sizzle.

Mr Smith said the committee had innovative ideas to build the club’s status in the northern suburbs this season.

“We have recruited several new bowlers to the club that have moved to the area and also have some exciting new formats that we are undertaking,” he said.

Those include corporate bowls on Thursday nights and the fast-paced ‘Jack Attack’ on Friday evenings attracting large crowds either participating or watching |at Quinns Rocks Sports Club.

“There is also the opportunity to have a social game on a Wednesday afternoon which anybody can come along to,” he said.
