Quinns Rocks man (35) charged over alleged Butler crime spree

A MAN allegedly broke into properties while residents were at home during a burglary spree lasting less than an hour in Butler on Saturday.

Police allege the 35-year-old Quinns Rocks man committed the crimes around Sanderstead Loop and Rosegreen Avenue between 3.50am and 4.30am.

Officers had charged the man by Sunday.

Police accused him of four burglaries, attempted armed robbery, criminal damage, theft, trespassing and giving false details.

Investigators have asked residents with CCTV cameras on Sanderstead Loop and Rosegreen Avenue to review footage recorded between 4.20am and 7.20am.

They also hope to speak with anyone who found a black hooded jacket or sneakers discarded in the area.
